SIGNS and SYMPTOMS Suggestive of CAD

 

The Major Signs & Symptoms Of Cardiopulmonary Disease Are:

 

Chest Pressure/Pain Or Other Anginal Equivalents

Example: - pain in the chest

SOB (shortness of breath) At Rest Or Mild Exercise

Dizziness Or Syncope

Example: - client complains of feeling dizzy

Orthopnea Or Paroxysmal Nocturnal Dyspnea

Example: - problems breathing while in certain positions or unexplained shortness of breath during the night

Ankle Edema

Example: - swollen ankles

Palpitations Or Tachycardia

Example: - awareness of heart palpating in the chest or high heart rate at rest

Intermittent Claudication

Example: - on and off pain in the legs/calves

Heart Murmurs

Example: - (diagnosed by a physician)

Unusual Fatigue Or SOB With Usual Activities
